Rare icon request

Though I've just submited a few icons to the ObjectDock skin area, I've been a visiter and registered user of WC for a long time. One thing easy to see is, there are too many icons for the "famous" programs, like Photoshop, Winamp, WMP... As I know, a lot of people use many other programs on their PC, and they can't find their OD icons anywhere, as well as they do not know how to create one themselves (as in my case before).
So, why don't we have an "open area" for those OD users to request for their favorite programs' icons? And those who can use graphical apps can create them. It's also a chance to improve your skills isn't it
?
I'll be the first... Any one need an icon? You can send me a screenshot of the origin icon, and I'll try to make it an OD one (128, 256, in PNG or ICO...).
Not so good in graphik, so I need the help from the pro gd!

what software do you use to make these
I use PhotoshopCS2 to make the png's. I use it for my iconpavkages as well, but use IconDeveloper to turn the png's to ico's.

To be honest, I couldn't find a larger image and I'm still not sure what the heck that is in the maketorrent icon.

I have a request, but not for an icon. I love all the work you guys do, and sometimes I feel like installing a program just so I can use some of your icons.
How about doing some tutorial-type things on the steps you guys use to make your icons? I'm sometimes baffled that you not only create such cool icons, but you make them so quickly.
Anyone up for it?

I don't think I could make a tutorial for icons. Paul Boyers 'Icon-A-Day' is probably the best.
I learned a lot by going through different Photoshop Tutorial sites. It was learning all the different things/effects and such I could do with PS and then applying them to icons.
As for how long it takes...for me, some of these are relatively simple and easy to do. Demonoid was a bit of challenge, but it's through experimenting and such that I learned what works best for me with certain things. They get easier as you go along. I like when someone throws out something like Demonoid. Demonoid took me a couple of hours. The 'war game' icons are challenging as well. One of my favorite was the BlacIce icon. It took me afew hours to get exactly what I wanted, and someone else could have done what I did or beter in minutes, I'm sure. My absolute fav and one I am proudest of is Folding At Home. The site that it was designed after liked it enough to consider it as their official icon. (I'm still waiting to hear) That took me a while and I wasn't sure if I liked it when I was done, even.
If you look at the first one I did for this thread, I think it was CDWave editor, you can see how I have progressed. I may not be great, but this has been a great learning tool for me, making these requested icons, and a lotta fun.
My TSWOC icons have been time consuming. So was my Shut-Up-And_Kiss-Me Icon pack. Finding a theme is easier than maintaining it through the entire set. That can be very challenging.
If there is something specific you want to know, I'd be glad to try and help all I can.
